Oh it's a jolly holiday with Mary!

I know it isn't even Thanksgiving in the U.S. yet, but I had to share my latest creation even if it is for Christmas.

I love Mary Poppins. It's one of my all-time favorite movies. I've always loved her outfit she wears in the fantasy sequence when they jump into the chalk painting and Bert and the penguin waiters sing "Jolly Holiday" to Mary. I've always thought her white dress with its red accents looked very Christmas-y.

Some time in the last week or so it struck me... I should do my own illustration of Mary in a Christmas version of that outfit!

So I did.

Once I had the illustration done, I put Mary into layouts for invitations as well as for cards.

Here's the invitation...

And here's the card...

Both are available to send free online at pingg.com

Or for a small fee you can choose to send them with a pretty digital envelope...

And pingg also offers a "postal pingg" service. For $2.50 (plus postage) they will print, address and mail a card or invitation for you. I've done it before. It's such a cool service.

Anyhoo... now I've got that song looping in my head. I guess there could be worse "earworms" swirling around in my head right now. *wink*

  2. Oh my FAV! My fav! My fav!!! I love that whole segment of one of *MY* favorite movies as well... I still laugh myself silly when Bert pull his pants down (well, not classically down) so he looks like the penguins!
I already know what invite I will be sending for Boxing Day this year.

    Love you so much...

  3. She's lovely. I'm a big fan of Mary Poppins too...I even had the musical sountrack on a record as a kid and I would sing along to it. Good memories.

  4. I love Mary Poppins, but Dick van Dyke gives me a headache. I usually tune out during the parts of the movie with just him in the scenes.

Your design is supercalifrag ... you know the rest. :)
