Sweet surprise: We harvested the first fruit off the Moro blood orange tree

The first Moro blood orange from our tree

With hope, the Moro blood orange tree was planted
Tended and pruned, it set its roots
Blossoms came
One showed promise of fruit
Months of waiting
To harvest
Then slice
An exotic orb of sweetness
Pin It!

  2. It's amazing to someone from Missouri that one can actually go outside and get oranges off their own tree. What beautiful fruit!

  3. Oh how beautiful that is! Is the flavor as rich as the fruit looks? I've never had a blood orange.
